Deep convolutional tree-inspired network: a decision-tree-structured neural network for hierarchicalfault diagnosis of bearings

摘要: The fault diagnosis of bearings is crucial in ensuring the reliability of rotating machinery. Deep neural networks have provided unprecedented opportunities to condition monitoring from a new perspective due to the powerful ability in learning fault-related knowledge. However, the inexplicability and low generalization ability of fault diagnosis models still bar them from the application. To address this issue, this paper explores a decision-tree-structured neural network, that is, the deep convolutional tree-inspired network (DCTN), for the hierarchical fault diagnosis of bearings. The proposed model effectively integrates the advantages of convolutional neural network (CNN) and decision tree methods by rebuilding the output decision layer of CNN according to the hierarchical structural characteristics of the decision tree, which is by no means a simple combination of the two models. The proposed DCTN model has unique advantages in 1) the hierarchical structure that can support more accuracy and comprehensive fault diagnosis, 2) the better interpretability of the model output with hierarchical decision making, and 3) more powerful generalization capabilities for the samples across fault severities. The multiclass fault diagnosis case and cross-severity fault diagnosis case are executed on a multicondition aeronautical bearing test rig. Experimental results can fully demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method.

Reliability evaluation of future photovoltaic systems with smart operation strategy

摘要: This paper investigates a new operation strategy for photovoltaic (PV) systems, which improves the overall reliability of the system as a result of the improvement in the reliability of the critical components. First, a mathematical model is proposed using the fault tree analysis (FTA) to estimate the reliability of the PV systems in order to find the suitable maintenance strategies. The implementations demonstrate that it is essential to employ smart maintenance plans and monitor the identified most critical components of PV systems. Then, an innovative analytical method based on the Markov process is presented to model smart operation plans in PV systems. The impact of smart operation strategy on the PV systems is then evaluated. The objective of this paper is to develop plans for improving the reliability of PV systems. A series of case studies have been conducted to demonstrate the importance of smart operation strategies for PV systems as well as the applicability and feasibility of the proposed method.

基于可视化的事故树分析系统研究与开发

摘要:

事故树分析是安全系统工程最重要的分析方法之一,它能对各种系统的危险性进行辨识和评价,不仅能分析出事故的直接原因,而且能深入地揭示出事故的潜在原因。用它描述事故的因果关系直观、明了,思路清晰,逻辑性强,既可定性分析,又可定量分析。基于可视化理论和技术,建立了事故树可视化模型,确定了系统功能目标,完成了系统结构设计,构造了事故树图形生成与事故树动态分析于一体的集成分析环境,开发出事故树计算机分析系统,为事故分析和安全评价提供高效、准确的技术和方法。

New concept and procedure for reliability assessment of an IEC 61850 based substation and distribution automation considering secondary device faults

摘要: Smart grid is a power grid consists of extensive monitoring systems which deal with the monitoring of attributes such as current, voltage, power, and energy at distribution transformers, substations transformers, distribution switching devices and smart meters. Smart grid with advanced communication technologies can be used for several purposes such as efficiency and reliability improvement. IEC 61850 is the core standard in the smart grid domain for distribution and substation automation. This paper introduces a vision of modern substation and distribution systems using the IEC 61850. Network operators mainly assume that the modern substation and distribution systems based on the IEC 61850 are reliable for a long-time of operation. However, similar to any other systems, the implemented IEC 61850 might fail because of the operational failures or aging failures. This paper proposes a novel method for reliability evaluation of modern substation and distribution systems. A typical IEC 61850 based distribution and substation system is developed and analyzed using the proposed method. The fault tree analysis (FTA) is used to quantify the reliability of the system. The technique is implemented and demonstrated on the Roy Billinton test system (RBTS). The analysis is further extended on a 400/63 kV substation with a breaker- and-a-half configuration. In addition, the technique proves to be robust under different operations. The results verify the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method.

Three-dimensional finite difference analysis of shallow sprayed concrete tunnels crossing a reverse faultor a normal fault: A parametric study

摘要: Urban tunnels crossing faults are always at the risk of severe damages. In this paper, the effects of a reverse and a normal fault movement on a transversely crossing shallow shotcreted tunnel are investigated by 3D finite difference analysis. After verifying the accuracy of the numerical simulation predictions with the centrifuge physical model results, a parametric study is then conducted. That is, the effects of various parameters such as the sprayed concrete thickness, the geo-mechanical properties of soil, the tunnel depth, and the fault plane dip angle are studied on the displacements of the ground surface and the tunnel structure, and on the plastic strains of the soil mass around tunnel. The results of each case of reverse and normal faulting are independently discussed and then compared with each other. It is obtained that deeper tunnels show greater displacements for both types of faulting.

A multi-sensor relation model for recognizing and localizing faults of machines based on network analysis

摘要: Recently, advanced sensing techniques ensure a large number of multivariate sensing data for intelligent fault diagnosis of machines. Given the advantage of obtaining accurate diagnosis results, multi-sensor fusion has long been studied in the fault diagnosis field. However, existing studies suffer from two weaknesses. First, the relations of multiple sensors are either neglected or calculated only to improve the diagnostic accuracy of fault types. Second, the localization for multi-source faults is seldom investigated, although locating the anomaly variable over multivariate sensing data for certain types of faults is desirable. This article attempts to overcome the above weaknesses by proposing a global method to recognize fault types and localize fault sources with the help of multi-sensor relations (MSRs). First, an MSR model is developed to learn MSRs automatically and further obtain fault recognition results. Second, centrality measures are employed to analyze the MSR graphs learned by the MSR model, and fault sources are therefore determined. The proposed method is demonstrated by experiments on an induction motor and a centrifugal pump. Results show the proposed method’s validity in diagnosing fault types and sources.

Kd-tree and quad-tree decompositions for declustering of 2D range queries over uncertain space

摘要: We present a study to show the possibility of using two well-known space partitioning and indexing techniques, kd trees and quad trees, in declustering applications to increase input/output (I/O) parallelization and reduce spatial data processing times. This parallelization enables time-consuming computational geometry algorithms to be applied efficiently to big spatial data rendering and querying. The key challenge is how to balance the spatial processing load across a large number of worker nodes, given significant performance heterogeneity in nodes and processing skews in the workload.

The study of hybrid model identification, computation analysis and fault location for nonlinear dynamic

摘要: This paper presents the hybrid model identification for a class of nonlinear circuits and systems via a combination of the block-pulse function transform with the Volterra series. After discussing the method to establish the hybrid model and introducing the hybrid model identification, a set of relative formulas are derived for calculating the hybrid model and computing the Volterra series solution of nonlinear dynamic circuits and systems. In order to significantly reduce the computation cost for fault location, the paper presents a new fault diagnosis method based on multiple preset models that can be realized online. An example of identification simulation and fault diagnosis are given. Results show that the method has high accuracy and efficiency for fault location of nonlinear dynamic circuits and systems.

Probabilistic seismic response and uncertainty analysis of continuous bridges under near-fault ground

摘要: Performance-based seismic design can generate predictable structure damage result with given seismic hazard. However, there are multiple sources of uncertainties in the seismic design process that can affect desired performance predictability. This paper mainly focuses on the effects of near-fault pulse-like ground motions and the uncertainties in bridge modeling on the seismic demands of regular continuous highway bridges. By modeling a regular continuous bridge with OpenSees software, a series of nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis of the bridge at three different site conditions under near-fault pulse-like ground motions are carried out. The relationships between different Intensity Measure (IM) parameters and the Engineering Demand Parameter (EDP) are discussed. After selecting the peak ground acceleration as the most correlated IM parameter and the drift ratio of the bridge column as the EDP parameter, a probabilistic seismic demand model is developed for near-fault earthquake ground motions for 3 different site conditions. On this basis, the uncertainty analysis is conducted with the key sources of uncertainty during the finite element modeling. All the results are quantified by the “swing” base on the specific distribution range of each uncertainty parameter both in near-fault and far-fault cases. All the ground motions are selected from PEER database, while the bridge case study is a typical regular highway bridge designed in accordance with the Chinese Guidelines for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges. The results show that PGA is a proper IM parameter for setting up a linear probabilistic seismic demand model; damping ratio, pier diameter and concrete strength are the main uncertainty parameters during bridge modeling, which should be considered both in near-fault and far-fault ground motion cases.

中国油用牡丹工程的战略思考

作为一种原产于我国的多年生小灌木,油用牡丹具有抗性强、适应范围广、产量高和油质好等特点。大力发展油用牡丹对促进我国油料生产、保障粮油安全、改善生态环境、增加农民收入、帮助贫困地区农民脱贫致富等都具有十分重要的意义。本文介绍了发展油用牡丹的重要意义,并通过分析油用牡丹发展中现存的问题,提出了对我国油用牡丹工程发展的建议与思考。

摘要:

通过对北京地下直径线大直径泥水盾构机典型故障的分析,提出了相应的处理办法和预防措施。同时通过对油样分析,有预见性地对盾构机进行维护保养,客观上使盾构机完好率得到了保证。并在施工过程中引入了“零库存”和工厂化管理等一套科学的设备管理理念及方法,提高了盾构机完好率,保证了盾构机的正常施工。

摘要: This article investigates the controllability problem of multi-agent systems. Each agent is assumed to be governed by a second-order consensus control law corresponding to a directed and weighted graph. Two types of topology are considered. The first is concerned with directed trees, which represent the class of topology with minimum information exchange among all controllable topologies. A very simple necessary and sufficient condition regarding the weighting scheme is obtained for the controllability of double integrator multi-agent systems in this scenario. The second is concerned with a more general graph that can be reduced to a directed tree by contracting a cluster of nodes to a component. A similar necessary and sufficient condition is derived. Finally, several illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the theoretical analysis results.

容错系统不仅会产生硬件故障,由于连续长时间的运行,系统的性能也会逐渐下降或失效,即老化现象。综合考虑容错系统中的硬件故障和老化现象,提出了将传统的冗余技术和软件抗衰技术相结合的策略,并给出了该系统的非马尔可夫随机Petri网模型,随之对基于该模型的系统进行了定量分析。

Heuristic solution using decision tree model for enhanced XML schema matching of bridge structural calculation

摘要: Research on the quality of data in a structural calculation document (SCD) is lacking, although the SCD of a bridge is used as an essential reference during the entire lifecycle of the facility. XML Schema matching enables qualitative improvement of the stored data. This study aimed to enhance the applicability of XML Schema matching, which improves the speed and quality of information stored in bridge SCDs. First, the authors proposed a method of reducing the computing time for the schema matching of bridge SCDs. The computing speed of schema matching was increased by 13 to 1800 times by reducing the checking process of the correlations. Second, the authors developed a heuristic solution for selecting the optimal weight factors used in the matching process to maintain a high accuracy by introducing a decision tree. The decision tree model was built using the content elements stored in the SCD, design companies, bridge types, and weight factors as input variables, and the matching accuracy as the target variable. The inverse-calculation method was applied to extract the weight factors from the decision tree model for high-accuracy schema matching results.
